TRAIN YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM. RECOVER WITH INTENTION.
TRAIN YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM. RECOVER WITH INTENTION.
Life asks a lot of us. Whether you're responding to emergencies, managing everyday stress, balancing family responsibilities, or simply trying to feel more grounded, your nervous system deserves attention, too.
YFFR offers practical tools for stress regulation, movement, breathing, and recovery. Originally developed with the unique demands of first responder life in mind, these practices can benefit anyone looking to build greater resilience and improve their relationship with stress.
No yoga experience required. Just come as you are.
IT’S MORE THAN MOVEMENT.
IT'S NERVOUS SYSTEM TRAINING.
YFFR (Yoga for First Responders) is a practical approach to managing stress, improving body awareness, and supporting recovery.
When life keeps you in go-mode, your body can have a hard time recognizing when it's safe to slow down. Over time, that constant state of readiness can affect sleep, focus, relationships, and overall well-being.
YFFR incorporates accessible movement, breathing techniques, and intentional recovery practices to help you recognize stress responses and develop tools to work with them.
What you can expect:
Breathwork: Learn practical breathing techniques to support regulation and recovery.
Movement & Mobility: Improve body awareness, mobility, and the ability to release physical tension.
Stress Regulation: Develop skills to recognize and respond to stress rather than remaining stuck in high gear.
Recovery: Practice transitioning from activation to a more settled state.
Everyday Application: Take practical tools with you into your work, home, and daily life.
You don't have to be flexible, athletic, or experienced with yoga. These classes are about building awareness and developing skills, not achieving perfect poses.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
I'm Maleia, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and YFFR instructor with a background in military service and nearly two decades of experience in the helping professions.
My work has centered on understanding how stress, trauma, and life experiences affect the way we think, feel, and connect with others.
I was drawn to YFFR because I believe wellness needs to be practical. We need tools that work in real life, not just when everything is calm and quiet.
Through breathing, movement, and intentional recovery, I want to help people develop a better understanding of their stress responses and build skills they can carry into their everyday lives.
My goal is simple: help people find ways to reset, recover, and reconnect with themselves.
